While the BCAA is fortunate enough to receive levy funding from the Boone County Ambulance Levy, those funds only provide approximately 1/3 of the required revenue to ensure that our ambulances are staffed and ready every hour of every day. Therefore, it is necessary for the BCAA to bill for services rendered to our patients. The BCAA does not perform in-house billing services, rather it is more cost effective and fiscally responsible for our agency to outsource this service to a third-party vendor, Medical Claims Assistance, from Huntington, WV.
