Ambulance Simulator





Our team completed the construction of an ambulance simulator in early 2026 to incorporate into our education to provide a more realistic environment to provide high-fidelity training scenarios. This simulator is equipped with the same equipment that is utilized on our ambulances, allowing our providers to utilize real world tools in a safe & controlled environment.

Bringing college level instruction & resources to the providers of the Boone County Ambulance Authority, our training center utilizes multiple high-fidelity training simulators like the CAE Apollo, iSimulate, & MedCognition's PerSim Augmented Reality platform along with many hybrid course offerings allowing students to complete coursework remotely online.



Practice Makes Perfect





On top of the continuing education courses that our providers take bi-annually, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and more, our providers participate each quarter in skill proficiency exercises. These quarterly skill sessions allow our EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics to keep skills that may be seldom performed, sharp. This helps us to ensure that we're providing our patients with the very best pre-hospital treatment while in our care.
